Don’t make the mistake in thinking all DJs are the same! An *experienced* wedding DJ understands every aspect of a wedding, inexperienced Budget DJs who do backyard birthday parties, typically don’t understand how crucial a wedding day is!
In fact there are DJs who avoid weddings due to the pressure (you only get one chance to get it right), and others that go into it not realising how many moving parts there are, missing one of those crucial moments can spell disaster for your wedding day!
Following are 10 *IMPORTANT Reasons* why you need to know the difference and how it can impact one of the biggest events of your life!
Experienced Wedding DJs

- We meet with you initially by phone or video call to discuss your vision and requirements BEFORE preparing customised pricing.
- Budget DJs will usually respond to an enquiry with standard pricing without getting to know the couple and their vision.
- We will outline the exact process, in writing, from now until your big day once you confirm your booking.
- Budget DJs often don't have any professional or formal process in place, and therefore no reassurance.
- We plan a face-to-face meetings with our couples in order to meet and bond with your specialist for your big day.
- Budget DJs typically don't consider a face-to-face meeting as they usually have a full time "day job" as their first priority.
- We work with our couples to curate the perfect wedding playlists, from background music, formal moments, through to rocking your dance floor set.
- Budget DJs typically have minimal planning or thought to the structure of music for a wedding, which leads to a bad experience for you & your guests.
- We check in with our couples multiple times in the months, weeks & days leading up to your wedding day, so you know we're on top of everything.
- Usually you won't hear from Budget DJs again until your wedding day leaving you to chase them up and hope they will actually turn up on you the day.
- We ALWAYS carry backups of EVERYTHING for every event. On the slim chance that something goes wrong, we're always ready to keep the event on track with minimal downtime.
- Budget DJs typically have BUDGET equipment and often NO Backup! Which means if anything fails and can't be quickly replaced, then it could mean fun is over before it starts.
- When you commit your booking with us we are 100% committed to your for your big day and nothing will ever take priority over your wedding date!
- There's been a rise in cancellations by "Budget DJs" due to multiple bookings for the same date, then taking the highest paying & cancelling others!
- We understand the diverse age range & demographics of guests at weddings, we know how to read a crowd & "change gear" to keep the dance floor pumping!
- Budget DJs don't know how to read a diverse crowd and keep everyone engaged. There's nothing worse than an empty dance floor and guests leaving early.
- Public Liability Insurance is usually mandatory with most venues, some now require all electronic equipment be certified "tested and tagged". We always have both.
- Budget DJs often don't have any insurances, and usually never had their electrical equipment certified "Tested & Tagged". This has lead to the Budget DJs being turned away by the venue.
